What is Transport East?Transport East is the sub-national transport body for the East of England. Formed in March 2018, the partnership comprises local authorities, Local Enterprise Partnerships and business groups across Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex, Thurrock and Southend-on-Sea. We also work closely with Highways England, Network Rail and the Department for Transport.


What is the purpose of the Transport Strategy?The Transport Strategy will set out our vision for a future of inclusive and sustainable travel over the next 30 years. It will make a compelling case for investment and set out a strategic approach that will underpin future transport investment in our region.


How will my feedback influence the Transport Strategy?As well as providing a picture of current transport use, your feedback will help us to identify the region’s priorities. This information will help us develop new transport policies and projects to make the East of England a better place to live, work, learn and visit.


Why do you need to know my personal details?It is important to us that everyone can input to our Transport Strategy. Understanding more about who has responded will help us to make future engagement even more inclusive.


What will you do with my data?Our privacy and cookie policy sets out the basis on which any personal data we collect from you, or that you provide to us, will be processed by us.


When will the Transport Strategy be published?We expect to publish a draft Transport Strategy for consultation in summer 2021.
